Yoga, Kalaripayattu
I was born in a country house where the scent of incense and oriental spices are aspects of daily life, as are the tapestries and colored masks of the Hindus. At 19, my desire for travel and discovery leads me to wear a small backpack and sandals to finally travel to Indian soil. Thus I know the ocean, the Himalayas, the Ganges and a culture that still continues to fascinate me. So I meet Yoga, already practiced in solitude by leafing through old books found at home. A Love blossoms that never leaves me. Shortly after, between Bengal and Kerala I meet Jaya Chandran Nair: Teacher, Friend, Guide. With him, for many years, in the sweat that smells of coconut oil, I learn Kalaripayattu: mother of martial arts.
Ashtanga Yoga becomes the natural evolution of this path.
It's been 20 years; many beautiful things have been added to this fantastic journey that is life. I still travel, practice, experiment as a choice and with great desire… and humbly teach others what I have received.
Kyem is the fruit of this journey
